Introducing… Georgia Reed

Australian-born Georgia Reed returns to music after a five-year hiatus and relocating to the UK. The singer-songwriter has four singles ready to roll over the next six months and the first of those is the excellent ‘Haunted’. The single brings the big drum production of the 80s in line with the alternative rock production of the 90s to make a sound that nestles between both eras and so feels fresh and vibrant. On top of that Georgia Reed has a husky and hazy velvet depth to her voice that grounds the whole sound and polishes it up. Defiant, moody and catchy to boot, I feel like Georgia has been creating moody brit pop for years.

Interesting, Georgia Reed nods to the UK music scene as an excellent bonus for moving here (welcome by the way). Reed said, “I’d always been influenced by UK bands and artists. It played a really big part for me.” Now that she’s moved to the UK, Georgia has been enjoying carving out her niche in the cryptic and moody singer-songwriter arena.

Enjoy the strident and magnetic ‘Haunted’ below. The single is out now. For more information on all things Georgia Reed, including those next three singles flying out soon, follow her on Instagram.
