Federico Parra spent twelve years studying Buddhist meditation styles before he poured all his spirituality into his debut album “Descending”. It has some beautiful moments of meditation and contemplation, harmonious singing and tribal drumming. The whole concept feels like a male Lisa Gerrard but more tribal and earthy instead of otherworldly. I’m looking forward to reviewing the album when I buy it next month but until then, enjoy the cathartic “One Taste”.
