Australian / German singer songwriter Christa Vi takes the best of 90’s electronica and mixes it with today’s production and studio tricks. Years in the making, her debut album Makeshift Happiness launches this month and her single “Now” is a fantastic track. It starts off calm and reminiscent of Massive Attack before evolving into a sweeping, lush percussive electro-pop anthem. It’s also so nice to hear a lead track from a synth pop album that’s not about the hook but about the whole experience as the five and half minute track crams so much into its time span.s
