I have just had the pleasure of ordering two Susumu Hirosawa concerts. He performs with various instruments but stands in a conductors box surrounded by laser triggered samples. he sings and uses his hands to cut the beams and trigger samples on and off before jamming on his guitars and pulling the stage about. His music is of no one else I have heard and whilst the word unique is well overused in musical terms – he is a true pioneer in sound.
