Caoilfhionn Rose (pronounced Keelin) hails from Manchester, UK and that’s also the home of the label she is releasing her debut single and album with – Gondwana. Rose’s music reminds me of that timeless folk rock you get when you have a soft female voice that errs on mystical, thick bluesy guitar with mild country tinges and some good 60’s/70’s rock thrown in for good measure. The debut single “Awaken” is everything I look for in a new artist who’s spent the last few years really honing her craft and it comes across as self-assured, confident and with her own vocal and song signatures too.
