Ionnalee Returns with New Single and Album in May

My favourite album of 2018 was Ionnalee’s ‘Everything To Be Forgotten’ and she followed that up with a 1-2 punch by being my favourite live concert of 2018 too. The kickstarter supported tour has become a great success and buoyed by that, Ionnalee has returned with a new single.

‘Open Sea’ feels and sounds similar to the previous album, with signature throwbacks to her Iamamiwhoami days too. It has a slightly unusual beat and time signature which initially caught me off guard but alongside her usual strong visuals, this looks set to kick off yet another fine era of Lee’s music. It feels like a sister album to ‘Everything to be Forgotten’ even down the title itself…
