There’s suddenly been a cluster of new rock bands I’ve discovered over the last week and easily on the top tier is Projector. The Brighton based trio chop up power pop and that wall of sound groups like My Bloody Valentine do so well alongside some of the more angsty darkwave sounds you’ll hear too. I really like the dual male/female vocal dynamic and the way the guitar riffs often bend into a grungy twist but don’t quite commit to it.
Projector released their new single ‘Go Ahead’ yesterday. I really hope its a shape of things to come and that an EP or LP in a similar kickass vein is in the pipeline soon. In the meantime, they are touring across May culminating in the Camden Rocks Festival on the 1st of June. Enjoy ‘Go Ahead’ below.
