Blushing are a four piece shoegaze band from Austin, Texas who are gearing up for their debut album release next month. They’ve been steadily releasing singles across the year with my favourite to date being ‘Dream Merchants’. It was inspired by a dream that vocalist and guitar player Christina had about a friend who’d passed away. Notice how the song gets increasingly more detuned and frantic as it reaches its final act. It’s subtle but really heightens the emotions.
Blushing release their self-titled debut album on the 6th of September. I’ll be picking it up for review but you can enjoy the single below and preorder via their website.
