Introducing… Blanche

Blanching the seeds of europop

Fans of a certain Eurovision may recall a couple of years ago Belgium entering a serious and deep voiced singer songwriter into the competition. Tipped initially as a favourite but not quite getting the votes on the day, Blanche ceratinly made a unique impact on that years Eurovision.

She has been busy since over the last couple of years making her debut album. It mixes together the dark pop and a mild avant-garde vibe that she’s cultivated. You’ll be likely to place her into the same bracket as SIA with that brand of quirky pop. The overall vibe is something more for the clubs though.

Blanche’s latest single is ‘Fences’ and will be coming from the forthcoming album ‘Empire’ which is due out on the 29th of May. It’s both smooth and immersive and certainly my equivalent of a ‘guilty pleasure’. Enjoy the single below – it is out now.
