Bust A Gut is the solo project of Sarah Leormand. She is previously known as a bass player in the band Pamplemousse and she takes some of that bass rock noise with her into her debut EP. The sound Bust A Gut goes for is a dark noise rock / 80’s bedroom artist. The former comes from muddy vocals and gritty guitars whereas the latter comes from the DR-880 drum machine that kicks out all kinds of rhythm elements.
‘Steakboard’ is the lead track from the debut EP which came out earlier this year. This will be for fans of the messier PJ Harvey albums, Whale, Curve and early Hole. Enjoy the music video below. The EP is out now on Bandcamp.
