Gwenifer Raymond is best described as a finger picking Olde American guitar player. She goes to town on her instrument smashing out long jams and often they contain a mystical quality to them. Elsewhere, you’ll feel like you are cartwheeling along dirt tracks in wagons at 100 miles per hour.
Gwenifer Raymond has an upcoming album entitled ‘Strange Lights Over Garth Mountain’ -which is out on the 13th of November. The lead single isn’t available for simple stream so I’ve found a lovely live performance of her recent work to whet your appetite instead. The video below is taken from a live radio session at Resonance FM. It was recorded last year and it sounds very similar to her new album still. My fingers genuinely look at all that work and get tired on her behalf! Her new single is out now.
