Imogen Heap is always thinking ahead when it comes to digital tech and working Mycelia and tech people, she is helping create a digital ID for musicians because frankly, the creaky world of royalty payments is woefully broken. I struggled with this when I tested out running an online radio station last year and it was pandemonium and the costs of paying licence holders who didn’t even pass the money properly was frustrating.
You can learn more about The Creative Passport below.
Imogen Heap has been running some live streams of her music but also showcasing fans of hers too and these are to help raise some money to get the Creative Passport off the ground. There has been quite a few and they often run on for several hours. Imogen plays her own music as well as making live improvisations with others or on her own. It is a chilled out vibe as if you are sitting around a digital campfire.
This is her latest solo livestream
The most recent livestream was a curated livestream of fan performances which is well worth enjoying to discover some new musicians.
So if you enjoy both Imogen Heap and digital music tech to help move the industry forward – take a look!
