German electronic duo COMA are looking to bring a bit of New Year cheer back to our lives with their smooth mix of dance and indie music. ‘Start/Stop/Rewind’ is their first track since their 2019 album ‘Voyage Voyage’ and it was meant to be a bonus track to go out during their 2020 tour which obviously didn’t happen. That being said, the track is about conflicting mood swings and so actually fits better with this weirdly wrongfooted start to 2021 where most people I know are a bit all over the place – myself included.
If you are fans of acts like Fenech-Soler and Caribou, where its indie pop band instruments making the dance grooves – COMA should be welcomed in with open arms. ‘Start/Stop/Rewind’ is the first single from what I expect to be a forthcoming album since the duo have been prolific since 2013. This could an early contender for the Summer anthem album for a Summer we likely won’t get to fully enjoy. Enjoy the single though, below!
