Introducing… Lunatic Soul

Lunatic Rock

He may look like he’s about to star in The Witcher 4 but Lunatic Soul, aka Mariusz Duda, has been merging together prog rock with mysterious folk elements for over a decade. I’ve only just stumbled across his music and have plenty to catch up on but the prog rocker’s latest album ‘Through Shaded Woods’ contains six tracks over two CDs or Vinyl sides containing huge suites per song. The latest video from the 2CD version of the album is ‘Hylophobia’ which is a fear of densely wooded areas. Not sure how we’ve not had a film called that yet! Lunatic Soul has driving guitar riffs, huge drums and distant Nordic chants. It is a great mash-up.

Lunatic Soul played all the instruments on this album which is a major feat and considering he looks like he could take you out with a dagger and make a mighty campfire too – I’m sold. Enjoy the video for ‘Hylophobia’ below. The albums out now.
