Josienne Clarke returns with new single and album

Standing up for sitting out.

Scottish rocker Josienne Clarke has been hinting of new material for a while after releasing great collections of unreleased and rare material across 2020. She is back with new single ‘Sit Out’ which is out now. It is the first track from her forthcoming album ‘A Small Unknowable Thing’ which is due out on the 13th of August.

‘Sit Out’ is a track of defiance and declaration as Josienne Clarke calls out cultures and behaviours that make her eye roll and just leave what is going on. Alongside the big guitars and drums, the single has a raucous guitar/trumpet blast middle section as if the music itself is deflated or blowing hot air too. Its a fun track with a great mickey take video about auditions. We’ve all been Josienne, we’ve all been there.

Enjoy ‘Sit Out’ below. The album is up for pre-order on Bandcamp.
