A band I’ve had on my periphery for some time has blasted onto my ears with their wonderful blend of psychedelia, rock and heavy use of electric pianos and keyboards. I discovered them by finding Shana Cleveland’s ‘Night of the Moon Worm‘ album and falling in love with it. From there I’ve been discovering that Shana, along with Alice and Lena, have been making funky alternative rock with a psyche-surfer edge to it since 2012.
La Luz is gearing up for their brand new album which they’ve self-titled because ‘we love it so much’. It also marks a great new entry point for new fans to get onboard. The lead single is ‘Watching Cartoons’ and encompasses everything I enjoy about La Luz. I’ll be scrabbling through their back catalogue but you can enjoy the happy little music video below.
For more info on La Luz, including pre-ordering their new album which is due out on the 15th of October, visit their Bandcamp.
