Hailing from Connecticut, Anxious have recently signed to one of my favourite indie rock labels Run For Cover. ‘Call From You’ is their first single on the label and cues up nicely the kind of big hooks and anthemic choruses you’ll expect. Anxious mixes together one cup of emo, one cup of power hooks and a splash of pep in the step. They started out in 2016 and were in high school at the time. Now the five-piece are buying cranking up for the first album after a run of EP’s over the years.
‘Call From You’ is about communication in general and stressing over conversations in advance. The music video, featuring a timelapse jigsaw build is available below.
