Introducing… Abductees

Paris is not their happy hunting ground!

The genesis of Abductees new song “Paris With a Broken Heart” is written in the title. Singer Ando was dumped in Paris, got drunk and then very depressed and annoyed at how everyone else in Paris was having a romantic time there. Ando wrote this song to document the shitshow and his sad French mime artist music video sends it up in chaotic beauty.

“Paris With a Broken Heart” is a grungy sludgy mess of hard riffs and do-whoop faux happy choruses that I can really get behind. Abductees have been going since 2017 but have had a revolving door of members over the years. The band originally started off as a rockabilly group but as members changed the music shifted towards grunge. Ando says the band, whether it is just him or anyone else involved will continue to play “neo-grunge” and write songs about the sad and seedier parts of life. Amen to that.

Enjoy the ridiculous video for “Paris With A Broken Heart” below. The single is out now. For more info on Abductees, visit their Facebook page.
