Bringing together ambient, chill out and piano-led classical motifs is Kaapstaad’s debut single “Night”. It is a beautiful track that evokes a cinematic soundtrack of the night. I can imagine it being used for an audio-visual film too. It marks a huge step-change for Tim Spelman, the man behind Kaapstaad. I know some of his other work from indie-pop band Tiny Fighter. Whilst in Covid lockdowns, Tim returned to his original love of film and game scoring and Kaapstaad’s work falls out from that delve.
Enjoy the debut single “Night” below, it is out now. Future music from the project is going for a “lullaby-meets soundscape” feel and I’m looking forward to hearing more. For more information on Kaapstaad, visit his Twitter.
