Introducing… lullahush

Quirky pop from Dublin's newest alternative producer.

Dublin based producer lullahush has teamed up with vocalist Maria Kelly for their latest single “Our Glass Lake”. The track reminds me a bit of Sylvan Esso vocally and sonically. The track has some surrealist guitars and jingles of bells that build up into a grizzly haze of synths distorted by noise and poppier beats with clattered edged. It’s typically of lullahush as he enjoys playing around with something that dances around the edges of both alt-poptronica and experimental tendencies. On speaking about “Our Glass Lake”, lullhush called it his weirdest lullaby yet.

The patchwork quilt of synths, beats, vocalists and effects make the build-up for lullhush’s debut album quite exciting. The album comes out Friday and it titled “A City Made of Water and Small Love”. I’m expecting it to be a collection of well-crafted oddities that become earworms you didn’t expect to be buried into so quickly.

Enjoy the video for “Our Glass Lake” below, the single is out now. For more information about the upcoming album and all things lullahush, visit his linktree.
