Introducing… Temple of Angels

Recalling The Cure and Cocteau Twins with effortlessly evocative rock anthems for radio.

Austin, Texas based quartet Temple of Angels has recently announced their debut album and to celebrate they have a new single out. The rock band blends elements of dream pop with harder riffs and a blinding vocal. Bre Morell has a mousseux voice which, when backed with a tiny bit of dream pop reverb, straddles epic and personal with perfection. Add on the sparkling guitars and catchy hooks and you have a rock radio anthem in waiting. It’s perfect for the summer season and whilst Temple of Angels definitely enjoys a more reflective side, as showcased in their previous single ‘Tangled in Joy‘, this shows the band are equally as comfortable with catchy anthems too.

There is something quite timeless about Temple of Angels. They have that Cocteau Twins sparkle mixed with quintessential The Cure and The Sundays. I’m really quite excited for their debut album ‘Endless Pursuit’. It is due out on the 14th of July, through Run For Cover Records, a label I’ve discovered over the past few years as an incredible source of the finest rock around.

Enjoy the music video for ‘Waving to the Wind’, the new single below. The track is out now and you can pre-order the album over on Run For Cover Records.
