Agnes Obel teases new album with a song snippet

The rather superb Agnes Obel has released a tiny snippet of her forthcoming album. We do not know the song title, album title, or really anything about it, but the short 30-second snippet whets my appetite perfectly. The sample opens with chilled, restrained strings that shiver and bloom into an aural backing “ooh” before Agnes Obel’s signature piano work begins. Interestingly, a more percussive rhythm section joins at the same time. Could this see Agnes Obel playing with a more trip-hop or rhythmic approach to her music? I’d be fascinated to hear that, since her music is often rhythmically structured but rarely contains percussion

Running onto a forum and discussing the potential direction or sound, and trying to put it all together to form a story. I spent hours doing that and regret nothing. It is a lost community art that I’m glad still exists for some artists.
