Anon. 4’s performance of Secret Voices: The Sisters of Las Huelgas at First Church, Simsbury, Ct., all but comprised a time-transportation to the 13th and 14th centuries and to the palpable presence of the Sisters of Las Huelgas. Unavoidable to picture them in their Cistercian white habits while they prayed, mourned and rejoiced and sadly at concert’s end retreated to their cherished places in history. Bravo.
