British Columbian Vanessa Forero’s style of folk has a unique blend thanks to her roots. Pulling the best from other sides of the ocean, the guitar and English folk motifs are present, but with some South American percussive vibes thrown in to. The result is something that is immediately catchy and cool – and dare I say something that would come second on Eurovision by the virtue of being amazingly good, but not cheesy enough to win? (This is praise I promise!)
