Introducing… Thelma

Continuing a theme of new artists, the final one this week before I dive into a string of reviews is guitar touting Thelma. Hailing from New York, her self titled debut album is out next month and her style of guitar and vocals have a dark and brooding cross over of many artists. She seems to stray away from simple motifs and riffs and instead focuses of mood, feeling and rolling chords and sounds. Her voice has a really dynamic range and makes me think of Shara from My Brightest Diamond – and I adore her voice!

I have high hopes for Thelma’s debut. She has a few singles out by I’ve popped my favourite of them below – Peaches. The albums out 10th March.
