Akiva are a UK based quartet that mix some heavy synth work into their heavy work. The result is something that feels a little brighter melodically than some of the heavy oppressive themes and power chords that the band can rock out. Think Cyber-Rock but more rock than cyber and you’re there. However, what really caught me was their new singles music video. “M.O.D.” is entirely animated and reminds me of the recently closed online game The Forgotten Children as well as Dead Synchronicity and Papers Please – as it takes on the evil military.
