Zoe Konez is a singer-songwriter who wields her guitar as her main weapon in subtle ways. With her new single ‘We Got Lost’ her intricate guitar playing is hidden underneath the main melody. It reminds me a little of Peter Gabriel but more of artists like Tash Sultana where the guitar playing is like a waterfall of notes cascading over the music. Add to that Zoe Konez’s silky smooth voice and some clever and catchy melodies and you have a potent mix.
‘We Got Lost’ came out last Friday as a digital single. She self produces everything from her home in South London and I think she’ll be blowing up across 2019 with more stellar tracks like that. Enjoy ‘We Got Lot’ below.
