Do you like your electronica spasmodic, experimental and unclassifiable? Welcome to MODEL 86. The idea is to create a musical project that is androgynous, cultureless, classless and nationless. This results in a chopped up, mashed up kaleidoscope of vocal snippets, synth runs, drums and sounds. It is a bit of a roller-coaster but in a good way.
MODEL 86 released their new single ‘So We’re Here Then’ earlier this week and has plans to release a debut album in the winter months. Off the back of this stunning single, I am intrigued to see what journeys we will be taken on. It reminds me of the attempt from Planningtorock to be androgynous which I always found unique.
