Alt-Pop alternative electro-acoustic electronica Introducing... piano pop producer RnB singer songwriter

Introducing… Sheep, Dog & Wolf

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

It has taken a whopping seven years since Sheep, Dog & Wolf’s debut album ‘Egospect’ released for the fascinating musician to return to our ears. The Auckland based multi-instrumentalist is very difficult to categorise as a musician which is why his new single ‘Cyclical’ spoke to me so much. It is a six minute merry-go-round of electronica, pop, jazzy undertones, RnB beats and elements of modern classical music all fused together. One minute you’ll be enjoying his light but layered vocals that reminds me of C Duncan. The next you’ll be enjoying synths that shimmer like flutes, jazzy piano and art-pop riffs.

‘Cyclical’ is out now but it was held in release suspension for months waiting for the right time for it to come out. Sheep, Dog & Wolf has said they’d already been through lots of personal trauma, illness and an assault in the lead up to the new work and then to have the pandemic postpone the release felt like the icing on the cake. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger eh? Enjoy the lyric video below.
