Introducing… Elizabeth Leslie

Goth pop goes to war.

Kicking 2021 off for us with a full week of introducing new artists to the site, Elizabeth Leslie brings us dark goth-pop. Her latest single ‘Empire Falls’ reminds me a little of some German electronica music which is often quite industrial. Elizabeth Leslie gives it a moody faun edge with her voice and songwriting nuance though so whilst everything is harsh, it is melodic and twisted too. I think the track is an absolute banger and I’m very excited to see where Leslie’s music will take her in the near future. Previous to going solo, she was part of French synth duo françoise but decided to take her vision solo in 2012.

Elizabeth Leslie is currently working on her second EP over in Nova Scotia and judging by this amazing single, it sounds like we’ll have a gem on our hands. Enjoy the homemade music video below. I feel very warrior-like every time I hear this song so pop it on your workout playlist!
