21-year-old Dominik Lacziko Succhiatti is Dodo, a Hungarian producer who makes hazy psychedelic electronica. Gloomy, muddy and swirling like an indie band but with more beats, I really like how Dodo approaches his music. Falling between something you might find from Ultraista, Bonobo and an angry Mandalay. This is because Dodo fits in some of his early musical influences by bringing in a rocky guitar edge to his beats. It makes his music politely straddle electronica and alternative in a nice way that should appeal to both sides of the spectrum.
His new single ‘Shinobazu’ features vocals from Hungarian artist Zsüd. Bringing in trip-hop beats to the murky indie vibe, this is designed for late night chill. It is the latest in a series of tracks that should be leading towards an EP or LP in the very near future. Enjoy the track below.
