Introducing… Kekko

Dream pop and shoegaze Husband/Wife duo.

Shoegaze husband/wife duos must definitely be a thing. I’ve found quite a few over the last couple of years and Kekko are my latest discovery. The duo from Singapore creates a dream pop/shoegaze crossover style of music. The vocals from Cherie are wispy and ethereal and underscored by watery effects to make her sound even more otherworldly. Add to that some swish guitars, rumbling drums and light synths and you have a great combo. Kekko sound strangely vintage too. Even all their photos have a rustic old school aesthetic. It’s a vibe they rock well.

Their new single is called ‘Dreaming Life’ and sounds as dreamy as it is named. It comes from Kekko’s debut EP of the same name. The EP is out now and you can enjoy the summery title track below. You can find out more about Kekko by visiting their Bandcamp page.
