Introducing… Das Body

Nordic pop sensibilities given the alternative electronica treatment brings you the late summer anthem of 2023.

Oslo based quartet Das Body has been diving into the offbeat side of dance music with their new single. ‘Baby, you know I’m a stranger’ is a chaotic mix of Knight Rider synth runs, aggressive indie pop sensibilities and anthemic pop choruses. Its gritty, punchy, emotive and the switch from film noir to blossoming joy keeps you on your toes. I love the mixture of Nordic pop sensibilities struggling to break free from a more alternative off-kilter electronica edge and it makes Das Body really stand out from the crowd.

‘Baby, you know I’m a stranger’ was the last song recorded for their forthcoming album. Das Body said the song just happened in the studio and becomes a celebratory symbol of their new sound. Enjoy the song below, the single is out now. For more information on all things Das Body, including when the new album releases, follow them on Instagram. I think this might just be my late summer anthem for 2023…
