Norwich-based UK alt-rockers Read The Room formed last year. The five-piece band create anthemic rock with big guitar riffs and a thick rock sound. A big part of their sound is vocalist Alana who brings a strong angsty vibrato to her power notes. She adds an edge to the polished wall of guitar production.
‘Aggravate Me’ is the bands new single. It sees Read The Room taking their sound into a heavier direction, which I absolutely approve of. The song has a splash of big-hair stadium rock to it whilst bringing a punk spirit to the sound too. The band say they want to explore a commercial production without losing their visceral independent spirit and I think Read The Room has hit the jackpot here.
