Sleepspent are a new indie rock trio preparing to release their first EP next month. Their lead songwriter Austin North cites The Cure and The Smith’s as influences but when adding in Cecelia on bass and Josh on on drums, it takes that type of rock and pushes it more towards something shoegazery and dreampop like. Most importantly, their second single “Come Smile With Me” is catchy and that keeps me smiling too on Record Store Day.
