Taking on a live DJ set with the setting of the Popocatepelt volcano in the background looks like a fantasy movie but Lagartijeando gets to enjoy just that with this superb live set. Taking songs from his recent albums and weaving them into an hour of beats, pipes, strums and shakes, you’ll feel part of the forest and the natural world during this open-air show.
The show itself takes place in Pachamama Village Puebla Mexico and features visuals from R3m3m3b3r. Whilst the South American dances kick into full flow, we are treated to sweeping drone shots and Lagartijeando chilling out by various streams at the foot of the volcano. Its a great showcase of the mid-tempo electronica meshed with South American instruments and seeing all the different samples being created and played in real-time is fascinating to see.
Enjoy the live set below. Lagartijeando recently released a great remix album from his superb 2022 LP ‘La Tercera Vision’. You can find it on Bandcamp.
